The United States of America has sent a clear signal to Iran not to hand over its ballistic missiles to the Russians.
The US has sent “very clear” signals to Iran not to provide Russia with long-range missiles for use in the war against Ukraine. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said this, Ukrinform reports.
“Regarding the issue of Iranian missiles for use in Ukraine, we sent a very clear signal to Iran not to do it. And this has been the subject of serious talks between a number of European countries and the United States,” he says.
Blinken emphasized that concerns about the possibility of such supplies are high and there is a “very strong” determination to respond to it.
“The concerns about this possibility and the willingness to respond if necessary are real and very strong,” said the US Secretary of State.
We remind you that Reuters previously wrote that Iran transferred about 400 ballistic missiles with a range of up to 700 km to the Russian Federation. However, the White House said it was closely monitoring the matter but had yet to see any confirmation that the missiles had actually been transferred from Iran to Russia.
