Bulgaria has sent the first batch of the promised 100 armored personnel carriers to Ukraine. This is what Bulgarian Defense Minister Todor Tagarev said, Novinite reports.
According to Tagarev, the operation with the transportation of vehicles began on January 29, and the first convoy of 30 cars left on March 7.
The minister indicated that the total cost of the military aid package exceeded 170 thousand Bulgarian lions (more than 94 thousand dollars).
Also, commenting on the delay in deliveries, the official pointed to the complexity of logistics and noted that it was impossible to speed up the shipment.
We remind you that on November 22, the Bulgarian parliament approved an agreement on the supply of 100 armored personnel carriers to Ukraine. However, in December, Bulgarian President Rumen Radev vetoed the document, but the parliament voted to override the president’s veto.
