Air defense systems operated in the Belgorod and Kursk regions. And already in the morning the Russian Ministry of Defense issued a statement about allegedly repelling an air attack. The department traditionally announced the “cessation of attempts” to carry out strikes. The Russian Ministry of Defense reported this on Telegram.
The statement indicates the “interception and destruction” of a total of 25 drones. At the same time, 14 UAVs were allegedly shot down in the sky in the Belgorod region, and another 11 over the Kursk region. Traditionally, the enemy blamed Ukraine for the attack.
The governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, said that the driver died as a result of flying into a passenger car. The ambulance line also received a call about two injured women and one man.
In Belgorod, there was damage in two private households and on the territory of one of the healthcare institutions.
Let us recall that on March 13, Ukraine carried out drone strikes on three oil refineries in Russia – Ryazan, Nizhny Novgorod and Leningrad regions. Also, drones attacked the Novoshakhtinsky oil products plant in the Rostov region of Russia.
