An Mi-8 helicopter with 20 people on board crashed in the Magadan region of Russia.

The helicopter crash occurred at 11.05 local time, 75 km from the village of Evensk, Severo-Evensk district. It is preliminary known that the cause of the accident was an engine malfunction. This was reported on March 14 by the Far Eastern Transport Prosecutor’s Office of Russia and Russian Telegram channels.
It is noted that the helicopter of the Dalnerechensk Avia carrier was transporting workers of the gold mine and followed the route “Kvartsovy landing site – Omsukchan airport.”
There were 20 people on board the aircraft, including three crew members. Propagandists claim one or two dead. Search and rescue efforts continue.
