Over the past two days, facilities representing more than 10% of Russia’s oil refining capacity have been damaged on the territory of the aggressor country. In particular, in Ryazan, the capacity of the oil refinery was dealt a blow, thanks to which the Russian Federation receives 17.1 million tons per year, or about 340 thousand barrels per day. Bloomberg reported this.
It is noted that the Ryazan Refinery is the main supplier of motor fuel for the capital regions of Russia.
And in January, the shutdown of two large Russian oil refineries, Novatek and Rosneft, after Ukrainian drone strikes affected weekly oil refining figures in Russia. They fell to their lowest level in nearly two months.
Let us remind you that on March 12, a drone hit an oil storage tank in Oryol, resulting in a fire.
And on the night of March 13, the Security Service of Ukraine carried out drone strikes on three oil refineries in Russia – Ryazan, Nizhny Novgorod and Leningrad regions. These refineries are included in the top 5 largest Russian plants.
In addition, power steering drones struck the Novoshakhtinsky oil products plant in the Rostov region of Russia.
