According to Yarmysh, Volkov was attacked with a hammer near his house.
“They smashed the window of his car with a hammer and sprayed tear gas in his eyes, then the attacker started beating Leonid with a hammer,” he said.
The FBK spokesperson added that the police and an ambulance came to the victim.
