On the afternoon of March 12, an Il-76 military transport plane crashed in Russia. The Russian Ministry of Defense said there were 15 people on board – eight crew members and seven passengers.
The plane took off from the Ivanovo-Severny airfield to perform a scheduled flight. According to preliminary information, during takeoff, a bird hit one of the engines, after which it caught fire.
During the flight, you can see something similar to an engine falling off the plane. And on the ground, judging by the video, there was something left that looked like an airplane.
From Ivanovo to the border with Ukraine is at least 750 kilometers. So the plane was most likely hit by sanctions.
An IL-76 crashed near a local cemetery. The network began to speculate that the passengers on board the IL-76 could be operators of the A-50 DRLV aircraft, because the Ivanovo Severny airfield is the location of the A-50 aircraft.
