As the press service of the Supreme Court reported on March 11, we are talking about the decision of the Criminal Court of Cassation within the Supreme Court, which considered the applicant’s cassation appeal against the determination of the AP VACS.
The complainant was returned an appeal against the ruling of the investigating judge of the Supreme Court of Ukraine due to the fact that these complaints contained offensive statements addressed to the judges, which is unacceptable.
Participants in a case are required to show respect to the court and other participants in the trial. Applications and complaints filed with the court must meet the requirements of current legislation. In the texts of these documents, you cannot use offensive and abusive words or symbols, in particular, to provide personal characteristics to the participants in the case, other participants in the trial, their representatives and the court, the Supreme Court said in a statement.
Otherwise, this indicates an obvious disrespect of the author of the document for the honor and dignity of these persons. Such actions contradict the fundamentals and objectives of legal proceedings and may be recognized by the court as an abuse of procedural rights.
