According to the Estonian Information Systems Authority, dozens of public sector websites were targeted by cyberattacks, writes Postimees.
On Saturday, nearly 3 billion requests for malicious access were sent to government agencies, the agency said.
In particular, the websites of the police and border guard departments, tax and customs services, and the Ministry of Justice were attacked.
Pro-Kremlin hacker groups claimed responsibility for the attack.
At the same time, it is noted that thanks to the quick and coordinated actions of cyber specialists, the impact of the attack on the functioning of institutions was insignificant.
