In his evening speech, Zelensky touched on the subject of the color white, hinting at the Pope’s proposal for a white flag.
The Russian murderers did not go beyond Europe only because they were stopped by Ukrainians and Ukrainian women with weapons in their hands under the blue and yellow flag. At the same time, people united who pray differently, but love Ukraine. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said this in an evening video message to the people of Ukraine on Sunday, March 10.
In his evening speech, Zelensky touched on the subject of the color white, hinting at the Pope’s proposal for a white flag.
“In Ukraine then there were many white walls of houses and churches, which are now burned and broken by Russian bullets. And this is very well telling who exactly should stop to stop the war. Everyone who protects life and people perform a noble mission that is possible only in the conditions of such an anti-human invasion. And we must fully protect life, protect in our home. And I thank everyone who supports our defense, defenders and defender of Ukraine,” Zelensky emphasized.
The President added that Ukrainians of different faiths are united to face the enemy, and next to them on the front line are chaplains who support the soldiers’ morale.
“When the evil of Russia started this war on February 24, all Ukrainians stood up for defense. Christians, Muslims, Jews – everyone. And I thank every Ukrainian chaplain who is with the army, in the Defense Forces. There, on the front line. They defend life and humanity. “They support us through prayer, conversation, and action. This is the church – with the people. And not two and a half thousand kilometers away – somewhere there is engaged in virtual mediation between those who want to live. and those who want to destroy you,” – he said. The President ended his speech with traditional thanks to everyone who brought Ukraine closer to victory.
We remind you that Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba responded to Pope Francis after his statements that Ukraine should have the courage of the “white flag” and negotiate.
