Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba does not rule out that the situation in the Russian Federation may change under the influence of the events of the war of aggression carried out by Russia against Ukraine.
The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry answered the question of whether there is still hope that Russian society can be the “X” factor that will bring changes in the Russian Federation, when a full-scale war has been going on for more than two years .
“Russian society is sometimes called a society of slaves – they meekly listen to everything that their slave owner Putin imposes on them. But even the slaves rebel. Therefore, I believe that calling slaves in Russian society is inappropriate,” said Kuleba in an interview with Elta.
According to him, at least for now, he does not see any “X” factor, noting that the Russians “swallowed” the death of the opposition leader Alexei Navalny.
“But this can change if the situation on the front and inside Russia changes. However, in order for Ukraine to change the situation, we need weapons,” said Kuleba.
Let’s recall that Kuleba took part in the five-party negotiations in Vilnius with the foreign ministers of Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and France. The main topics are the rapid increase of allied military aid to Ukraine and the production capacity of the defense industries.
