Last week, the first concrete shelters arrived in the Dnepropetrovsk region. In particular, they have already been deployed in Nikopol, Krivoy Rog and Dnieper. The representative office of the Red Cross IFRC Ukraine reported this on Facebook.
These concrete shelters are civil defense structures that are designed to protect people during an air raid in open public places – bus stops, local markets and crowded places. Each shelter has an area of 10 square meters. m and can accommodate from 10 to 15 people at a time.
This project is being implemented by the Ukrainian Red Cross Society with the support of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
Let us remind you that on November 22, the Red Cross opened a new shelter for internally displaced persons in Chernigov. The new residents of the shelter also received kitchen and food packages and other humanitarian aid from MFTVCHChP.
