The explosion allegedly occurred in the heat supply compartment, located separately from the boiler room. Russian propaganda media write that there was a “detonation of coal dust” in the heat supply compartment, located separately from the boiler room. The very moment of the explosion was caught on camera. After the explosion, a fire started at the thermal power plant. This was reported by the Russian Telegram channel SHOT.
Heat supply in Shagonar is currently suspended. About 4 thousand people were left without heat, and in total more than 12 thousand people live in the city. According to local forecasters, frosts there are forecast to reach 12° below zero Celsius during the day, and down to minus 22° at night.
Let us remind you that on March 6, a powerful explosion occurred at the Shagonar thermal power plant. 18 people were injured, all were taken to the hospital. Nine workers of the thermal power plant are in moderate condition, and the condition of six victims is serious.
