No Russian animal responsible for the murders of Ukraine’s children, women and men will go unpunished, the president said.
Arrest warrants for two Russian commanders from the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague prove that justice is inevitable for aggressor country Russia and war criminals. The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky wrote about it in Twitter on Tuesday, March 5th.
The head of state welcomed the ICC decision. According to him, every Russian commander who orders an attack on civilians and infrastructure should know that justice will come and he will be held accountable.
“International justice takes time, but it is inevitable. We are making every effort to ensure that not a single Russian animal responsible for the murders of children, women and men of Ukraine goes unpunished. And without a number of stars on the shoulder straps, the door of the office will not hide them from responsibility,” concluded the president.
We remind you that on March 5, the Hague court issued arrest warrants for the commander of the long-range aviation of the Russian Federation Sergei Kobylash and the commander of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation Viktor Sokolov. They are accused of war crimes and crimes against humanity committed during Russia’s widespread attacks on civilians and critical infrastructure in Ukraine in 2022 and 2023.
Afterward, the Office of the President called the ICC’s ruling on the Russian commanders “infallible.”
As you know, on March 17, 2023, the ICC issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin, accusing him of illegally deporting thousands of children from Ukraine. A warrant was also issued against children’s ombudsman Maria Lvova-Belova.
