Representatives of Irish singer Sinead O’Connor are asking Donald Trump not to use her music at his political rallies.

    .

He played O’Connor’s most famous song, Nothing Compares 2 U, during the election campaign in Maryland (USA).

According to her representatives, “Sinead would be disgusted and offended” if her music was used by what she herself called the “biblical devil”.

Rihanna, The Rolling Stones, Elton John, Adele and others also demanded that Trump stop using their songs.

O’Connor, who died in the summer of 2023, maintained a strict moral code throughout her life that defined honesty, kindness, fairness and decency towards her fellow human beings, her family and label said in a statement.

So we’re outraged to learn that Donald Trump is using her iconic rendition of “Nothing Compares 2 U” at his political rallies, according to a joint statement sent to Billboard on March 4.

In a 2020 interview with Hot Press, the singer called the twice-impeached ex-president “the devil of the Bible.” She told the publication she was convinced Trump “is actually a Satanist” and that he should have been “pulled out” of the White House when he “separated the first child from their parents at the Mexican border.”
