There are fears that the dry grass could lead to large fires.

Residents of the small town of Victorville in California have become victims of plant invasion – tumbleweeds. Weeds attacked dozens of houses, which found themselves under two-meter rubble of dry dry lumps. The video was published online.

Local authorities are conducting a massive weed cleanup from the city. Rescuers are also involved in the work to help clear houses where people are trapped.

The footage shows dozens of tumbleweed bushes literally surrounding American homes. This anomalous phenomenon is associated with strong desert winds, which brought many weeds to the city.

It is known that the wind speed in the desert that caused the invasion of tumbleweeds in the US city is at least 110 km / h.

We remind you that the previous big floods reached Brazil. More than 11 thousand people were evacuated.
