The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine allocated UAH 1.3 billion for this. The construction of fortifications in the region is carried out in the morning and continues late in the evening. Some work is carried out at night. The head of the Zaporozhye regional military administration, Ivan Fedorov, reported this on Telegram.
Everything is being done in order to provide a sense of security as quickly as possible to civilians in the Zaporozhye region, and, of course, to the military, he assured.
Fedorov added that both civilian and military contractors were involved in the construction. He promised that the work would be completed as soon as possible.
According to the head of the OVA, the main objective of the construction is to make the Defense Forces soldiers feel more calm and ready for any development of events.
Let us recall that in January The Telegraph reported that Ukraine was digging its own “Surovikin line” against the Russian offensive. It was reported that more than 965 kilometers of new concrete trenches and underground command posts were planned to be built.
