Chinese Special Representative Li Hui visited Moscow (Russia). This was reported by Reuters and Chinese media.
On March 2, the Chinese diplomat met with Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said the parties exchanged views on the war in Ukraine.
Lavrov said that the “ultimate demands” of Moscow and “dialogue formats” proposed by Ukraine and Western countries “only harm the prospects for a settlement and cannot serve as its basis.”
It was previously reported that China’s special representative Li Hui will visit Russia, Ukraine and the European Union.
According to the Chinese Foreign Ministry, China is sending its special representative to Ukraine, Russia and European Union countries “to prepare for peace negotiations.”
