The pilot of the Su-25 attack aircraft of the Russian armed forces shot down near Svetlodarsk turned out to be a military mercenary.
The captured pilot – Major of the Russian Aerospace Forces Andrei Fedorchukov admitted during interrogation that he was a mercenary of the private military company Wagner. Every month he will receive a salary of 205 thousand rubles. This was announced by the editor-in-chief of the Censor-NET publication Yuri Butusov on Facebook.
According to him, the captured occupier said that he was ordered to attack the stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He also said that earlier the plane had bombed Ukrainian cities. Fedorchukov really hopes for an exchange, because he understands that the mercenary and he may not be put up for exchange, and he may suffer for his crimes.
Butusov added that Russian aviation has big problems with navigation. The captured pilot was found to have a Garmin navigator and a smartphone with the Pronebo program in order to have more accurate navigation than the on-board navigation aids of the Russian army.
