The President of Ukraine held meetings with the presidents and heads of government of several European countries. The meetings yielded important agreements.
President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky at the Summit Ukraine – Southeast Europe held several bilateral meetings. The president announced this on the evening of Wednesday, February 28, on social networks.
“The content of all negotiations is quite pragmatic. Together we can provide our citizens with more security, more jobs, more economic growth,” Zelensky assured.
It is reported that they agreed with Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic to facilitate the conclusion of agreements between Ukraine and Croatian private companies in the field of mine clearance, rescue equipment and the production of UAVs.
Zelensky thanked the President of Montenegro Yakov Milatovich for his support of the Vilnius Declaration of the Group of Seven and the Ukrainian Peace Formula. During the meeting, the parties also discussed the treatment and rehabilitation of Ukrainian military personnel in Montenegro.
During negotiations with North Macedonia’s President Stevo Pendarovski, Zelensky spoke about Ukraine’s current defense needs, and together with the country’s Prime Minister Talat Xhaferi he signed a Joint Declaration on Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine.
Zelensky discussed the latest events in Transnistria and the attempts of the Russian Federation to destabilize the situation in the region with the President of Moldova, Maia Sandu. They also discussed export corridors for transporting Ukrainian products throughout the territory of Moldova.
During the meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, the parties coordinated additional contacts to support the World Formula with the largest number of countries.
Defense cooperation issues, in particular, Ukraine’s needs for artillery and air defense systems, were discussed with the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Boryana Kristo.
We remind you that Zelensky went to Albania for the Ukraine-Southeast Europe summit. The President met with the Prime Minister of Albania, Eddie Rama, where the parties signed an agreement on friendship and cooperation between the countries.
