It turns out that the “passengers” paid the driver $2,000 each to get to Romania. The legend about the funeral was invented by the ferrymen.
In Transcarpathia, border guards exposed dodgers who came from the legend of “grandmother’s funeral” to smuggle men of military age abroad. The press service of the State Border Guard Service reported this on Wednesday, February 29.
“At one of the checkpoints in Transcarpathia, the border guards stopped a car, the driver of which said that he was taking passengers to his grandmother’s funeral. The passengers did not object to the fact of the grandmother’s “death”; they also presented funeral wreaths as evidence. However, they did not know the name and address of the relative’s residence. It turns out that the “passengers” paid the driver $2,000 to go to Romania. The legend about the funeral is invented by ferrymen,” the State Border Service reported.
Investigators are establishing a circle of people involved in the violation.
We remind you that a Ukrainian tried to cross the border illegally and enter Moldova, but the wolves stopped him. The draft dodger was forced to contact Ukrainian border guards, who discovered the unsuccessful fugitive in a tree.
Let’s add that law enforcement has eliminated four schemes that allow men liable for military service to illegally avoid mobilization and go abroad.
