The European Union will open an Office for Defense Innovation in Kyiv. This was said in Strasbourg by the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen at a hearing in the European Parliament, reports Ukrinform.
“I am proud to announce that we are establishing a Defense Innovation Office in Kyiv. This will bring Ukraine closer to Europe, and allow our member countries to benefit from Ukraine’s experience on the battlefield and innovation in defense industry,” said Ursula von der Leyen.
Earlier it was reported that Ukraine and Belgium intend to create joint defense enterprises.
Let’s recall that President Vladimir Zelensky said that Ukraine will make every effort to create a new European military-production arsenal with its partners by 2024.
