The most difficult situation is now in the Donetsk region – the enemy is putting a lot of pressure on the Novopavlovsk and Avdeevsk directions. In the areas of Krasnogorovka, Georgievka, Novomikhailovka and west of Pobeda, the enemy tried to break through the defenses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces 29 times, and in the Avdeevsky direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 25 enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Berdich, Orlovka, Tonenkoye, Pervomaiskoye and Nevelskoye. This is stated in the morning report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for February 28.
The Defense Forces also repelled enemy assaults in the Kupyansky, Limansky, Bakhmutsky, Orekhovsky and Kherson directions.
Air Force aviation carried out strikes on 15 areas where enemy personnel were concentrated per day. In addition, two Su-34 fighter-bombers and four reconnaissance UAVs were destroyed.
And the missile forces hit four areas where personnel, weapons and military equipment were concentrated, two artillery assets, one air defense system and two enemy radar stations.
Let us remind you that on February 27, Ukrainian troops retreated from the villages of Stepnoe and Severnoe near Avdeevka. Up to 100 people lived in these settlements before the war.
