Germany on Monday, February 26, announced the shipment of another shipment of military aid to Ukraine, which includes, among other things, artillery shells, drones and mine clearance vehicles. This is stated on the German government website.
The list includes:
-
14 thousand shells of 155 mm caliber;
-
10 Vector reconnaissance drones with spare parts;
-
four WISENT 1 mine clearing vehicles;
-
three mobile, remotely controlled and protected mine clearance systems;
-
equipment for neutralizing explosive objects;
-
250 tool sets with explosive materials;
-
22 sensors and jammer systems against UAVs;
-
12 satellite communication terminals;
-
four vehicles for border protection.
In addition, the list of aid that Germany plans to provide to Ukraine in the future has been updated: 10 additional Bergepanzer 2 armored repair and recovery vehicles and 20 anti-drone sensors and jamming systems.
We remind you that on February 22, the German parliament decided to recommend that the German government provide Ukraine with long-term weapons. Now the decision rests with Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
As is known, Ukraine has been calling Germany since last year to start supplying Taurus long-range missiles. The German company Taurus Systems GmbH said that they can quickly launch a new production of Taurus missiles, which is requested by Ukraine.
