What Ukraine lacks is ammunition of various ranges and all possible ranges, the German Chancellor said.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz again opposed the supply of Taurus long-range missiles to Ukraine. RND reported this on Monday, February 26.
“You should not be tied to the target assignment of this system (we are talking about the range of Taurus missiles – ed.). That is why considering this issue is not a priority on the agenda. It is also worth -understanding For yourself. One can only wonder why someone “It doesn’t matter why someone doesn’t think about whether what is being done could, in some way, lead to complicity in war,” said politician
According to Scholz, Taurus missiles are the longest-range weapon and “it seems impossible for Germany to do what the British and French are doing in the area of target designation control.”
“Everyone who has come into contact with this system knows this… What Ukraine lacks are bullets of different ranges and all possible ranges,” the German chancellor added.
We remind you that on February 22, the German parliament decided to recommend that the German government provide Ukraine with long-term weapons. Now the decision rests with Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
As is known, Ukraine has been calling Germany since last year to start supplying Taurus long-range missiles. The German company Taurus Systems GmbH said that they can quickly launch a new production of Taurus missiles, which is requested by Ukraine.
