The ongoing Russian operation “Maidan-3” aims to sow thoughts about the illegitimacy of the Ukrainian government within the country.

This is the “most expensive” operation for the enemy. As part of this operation, the Russians planned to create a situation in which the legitimacy not so much of President Vladimir Zelensky, but of decision-making in general in Ukraine, could be questioned. However, this operation is already failing, and Ukraine knows everything that the occupiers are planning. The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Kirill Budanov, announced this on February 25 at the forum “Ukraine. The year is 2024.”
According to him, Russians in a short period are counting on a certain “turmoil” in Ukrainian society and duality in decision-making. And in the first half of June, Russia wants to inflict military defeat on Ukraine in the east. The enemy plans to take advantage of the fact that there should be a double opinion in the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces: who leads the soldiers and whose orders they carry out.
This is the whole point – they are interested not so much in the change of political leadership as in the task of military defeat,” Budanov noted.
Let us recall that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said in November last year that Russia really wants to remove him from power and for this purpose planned an operation code-named “Maidan 3”.
