Due to the delay in aid, Ukraine is losing personnel and territory, the Minister of Defense emphasized.
Defense Minister Rustem Umerov said that half of the weapons supplies from Western partners did not reach Ukraine on time.
“Allocation (of aid) does not mean provision. 50% (of military support) was not delivered on time,” the minister said at the “Ukraine. Year 2024” conference on Sunday.
Umerov said that because of the delay in aid, Ukraine is losing personnel and territory.
“This is a war in which the allied forces must provide supplies on time… We have a plan. We are working according to the plan. We are doing everything possible and impossible. But without timely delivery it is difficult for us,” the minister noted.
He emphasized that never in the history of mankind has such a thing happened when a war was fought without air superiority. At the same time, Umerov emphasized that without air superiority, Ukraine drove the Russians from the north and the Black Sea.
He also called attention to the mathematics of war.
“We look at the enemy, in their economy of about 2 trillion, they use up to 15% of the war budget, which is more than 150 billion US dollars,” said the minister.
We remind you that Vladimir Zelensky said that the military reserves in Ukraine are not “normally ready”, and in the preparation of the counter-offensive, 4 brigades did not fight because they did not receive the promised equipment.
