The President said that 4 brigades preparing for a counter-offensive were left without the necessary equipment.
President Vladimir Zelensky said that the military reserves in Ukraine were not “normally prepared,” and during the preparation for the counteroffensive, 4 brigades did not fight because they did not receive the promised equipment.
“Now the commander-in-chief is conducting an audit, he wants to be in every place, in every brigade, in the appropriate direction, to understand and draw conclusions. First of all, the issues of reserves , rotation. We need to fix things and finish it. We can not only fight, we need to rest. One must understand: in so many days, then leave, rest, calculate your strength. To do this , you have to prepare your reserves properly. They are not properly prepared. This is also a fact. We must identify our weaknesses. They are there. They are there. and we have to correct them. And to correct them, we need to understand what is happening,” Zelensky said at a press conference.
Details: Zelensky also mentioned that it is necessary to find out “who is in the offices, why there, how many people have been mobilized, what percentage is at the front.”
He also gave an example about the preparation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces for a counter-offensive: “We had a fist for a counter-offensive. I will not say where, everyone already knows about the details. And no I will say how much was prepared. Until now, 4 brigades from that package are naked. 4 brigades without equipment agreed, signed, shook hands. Did not arrive. 4 brigades will fight? No, not fight. They stand and waited for the goods. I speak without reproach. But there are questions and must be answered. For this and audit.”
Let’s recall that the Commander-in-Chief Alexander Syrsky, together with the Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov, visited the forward command posts of military units and units in the area of combat operations.
