The flag of Ukraine is placed on the highest flagpole in Europe – in the Finnish city of Hamina. The event took place on the anniversary of the mass invasion of Russia, February 24. It was announced by the People’s Deputy, Chairman of the Ukrainian delegation to PACE, Maria Mezentseva, the press service of the Servant of the People reports.
“This flag can be seen in Russia, because of the proximity of the city to the border. And believe me, from the secret summer house of the dictator, it can also be seen. Thanks to the head of the Finnish delegation to PACE, Kimo Kiljunen, who started fundraising for the largest flag of Ukraine in Europe and everything in the Finnish Parliament for the implementation of this plan, “said the representative of the people.
We remind you that on January 22, on top of Mount Pakhkal-Kaya in the temporarily occupied Crimea, activists unfurled the Ukrainian flag in honor of Unity Day.
On February 6, soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces raised the flag of Ukraine in the village of Krynki on the left bank of the Kherson region. Fighting continues in the village.
