The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry emphasized the existence of “publicly transmitted” political signals from Donald Trump.
Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba commented on the invitation of the presumptive US presidential candidate from the Republican Party, Donald Trump, to Ukraine. He spoke about it on Saturday, February 24, in an interview with the Voice of America.
He noted that now there are “political signals coming to the public” from Trump, and “public signals coming from the President of Ukraine.”
“We have not heard a response to the invitation from Trump himself or his team. If there is a response, we will consider it,” he added.
Kuleba added that the key for Ukraine is to maintain support at the level not of parties, but of voters, “because American politicians follow their voters.”
Earlier, President Vladimir Zelensky turned to US ex-President Donald Trump, who has the greatest chance of becoming the candidate of the Republican Party in the next presidential election, and invited him to Ukraine again.
Let’s remember that Trump once again promised to end the war in Ukraine “too quickly.” Zelensky said he was ready to listen to Trump’s specific “peace plan” regarding the war in Ukraine. But our state will not give its territories to Russia.
