Compared to 2017, the share of those in Ukraine who believe that most people can be trusted has increased from 17% to 27%.

    .

This is evidenced by the results of a survey by the Razumkov Center. At the same time, the share of respondents who believe that they need to be very careful in their relationships with people decreased from 75 to 62%.

Compared to February 24, 2022, the psychological state of the Ukrainians surveyed has improved. If in winter 2022 49% rated their condition at 7 points on a scale, where 0 is the maximum level of peace and confidence, and 10 is the maximum level of panic, fear and uncertainty, in January 2024 it was 5.9.

At the same time, the share of those who rated it from 8 to 10 decreased compared to the beginning of the large-scale war from 49% to 25%.

However, this figure is worse than in February-March 2023, when it averaged 5.1 points.

On a ten-point scale, respondents rate the level of life satisfaction at 4.7 points. Residents of the southern region are less satisfied with life (3.9 points), while in other regions – from 4.5 points (in the east) to 4.9 points (in the west and center of the country).

The Razumkov Center conducted a face-to-face survey from January 19 to January 25, 2024, in non-combatant territory controlled by Ukraine, as part of the Join Us! Community Engagement Program funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

2 thousand respondents aged 18 years and over were interviewed. The theoretical sampling error does not exceed 2.3%.
