He is accused of inciting a war of aggression against Poland, bragging about Russian aggression against Ukraine and promoting communist ideology. The farmer faces up to 5 years in prison.
This was reported by the Ministry of Reconstruction of Ukraine with reference to the Gliwice Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
On February 20, during a protest by Polish farmers, a USSR flag and a poster with the inscription “Putin, restore order in Ukraine, in Brussels, and with our officials” were noticed on one of the tractors.
Then the Polish Minister of Internal Affairs said that the police and prosecutors were taking action against the author of the poster. Subsequently, the pro-Russian rhetoric of the protesters was condemned by Polish President Andrzej Duda and head of government Donald Tusk.
