Ukraine will no longer agree to a frozen conflict and does not trust Vladimir Putin, the president said.
A diplomatic end to the war between Ukraine and Russia is possible only on the basis of a Peace Formula, which provides for the liberation of all Ukrainian territories temporarily occupied by the Russian Federation. President Vladimir Zelensky said this in an interview with the American television channel Fox News, published the previous day.
According to him, the Ukrainian authorities do not want to repeat the agreements in Minsk, but in relation to other parts of the territory of our state.
“There are no new frozen conflicts. We do not believe in it. And I do not trust him (Vladimir Putin – ed.). Regarding the negotiating table – when we prepare, when there will be a document based on our Peace Formula, our main document, and when we have the support of the world, we will find ways to talk with Russian representatives,” Zelensky said.
The President assured that Ukraine will negotiate with Russia from a strong position.
“From a strong position, we have a very important diplomatic path – this is a document. And when it’s ready, it doesn’t matter where we stop at that moment. If we are firm on all the points that I have stated, and when we have the document, and the majority of large countries, key ones, those that make decisions, will be on our side, then we will be able to talk about political negotiations,” the head of state emphasized.
As you know, the aggressor country Russia regularly asks to start negotiations with Ukraine, but “taking new facts into account.”
In turn, Vladimir Zelensky said that now is a “bad moment” for negotiations with Russia. The head of state is ready for a long war.
