A fighter with the call sign Samson served in Bravo company of the International Legion, which included several other Finnish volunteers.
A 21-year-old volunteer from Finland died in the battles for Ukraine. This was reported by Ilta Sanomat on Friday, February 23.
The fighter with the call sign Samson is from Eastern Finland and went to Ukraine in December last year. He was mortally wounded in a drone strike in the Bakhmut area.
Samson served in Bravo Company of the International Legion, which included several other Finnish volunteers.
According to the publication, several dozen volunteers from Finland are engaged in the defense of Ukraine.
In total, three Finnish volunteers died in battles for Ukraine: 23-year-old Kasper Alhoniemi died in June in the Zaporozhye region, and in October a fighter from Eastern Finland was killed in the Donetsk region .
