For every Ukrainian soldier who died in combat, there were five Russian soldiers.

The Ukrainian defenders suffered five times less losses than the Russians. This statement was made by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky in an interview with the American television channel Fox News.

“We know that tens of thousands of people were killed. Tens of thousands of children were deported. If we compare the number of soldiers killed, I would say the ratio is 1:5. For every Ukrainian soldier killed in the conflict, there are five Russian soldiers,” he said, adding that these are approximate statistics.

We remind you that, according to the latest data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the total combat losses of Russian troops from February 24, 2022 to February 22, 2024 are about 407,240 people killed. Of these, 1,160 were liquidated in the last 24 hours.

The previous day, the Ukrainian Armed Forces confirmed a strike on a concentration of Russian forces near Podo-Kalinovka, Kherson region. This is the second blow to the accumulation of Russian forces in the last two days.
