The farmers plan to meet Donald Tusk in their “Star March to the Capital” and present him with a petition.
Polish farmers are planning new large-scale protests on Tuesday, February 27. The rallies will be held in the Polish capital Warsaw under the slogan Star March to the Capital. This was reported by Polish radio RMF24.
The media said the farmers planned to gather in front of the Palace of Culture and Science, and then go to the Sejm and the office of Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
Disgruntled Poles plan to meet with the head of the Polish government himself and present him with a petition. In it, they will demand restrictions on the import of agricultural products from Ukraine and the withdrawal of the Polish government from the EU Green Agreement.
As we have already written, on February 20, Polish farmers staged mass protests and blocked six checkpoints on the Ukrainian border. It was also learned that they intend to extend the promo until April.
Earlier on Wednesday, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky appealed to Polish and EU authorities over the farmers’ protests.
