The head of the European Council confirmed the financial and military support of Ukraine from the European Union.
President of the European Council Charles Michel reportedthat he spoke on the phone with President Vladimir Zelensky. They discussed aid to Ukraine.
According to Michel, his conversation with Zelensky focused on the second anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. They also discussed the 10th anniversary of the occupation of Crimea.
“I confirm the financial and military support of the EU for Ukraine as long as necessary. Russia will never extinguish the fire of democracy in Ukraine. The fate of Ukraine lies in the EU,” said Michel.
Let’s recall that today, February 22, President Vladimir Zelensky held a large-scale meeting with diplomats, representatives of states and international organizations.
It was previously reported that the EU has allocated 83 million euros for humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
