In Udmurtia (Russian Federation), a church parishioner who ordered a magpie for Alexei Navalny was reported to the police.

The woman herself told the OVD-Info publication about this.
According to the parishioner, she ordered the so-called magpie on February 20. Two days later, they called her from the church and asked if the person indicated in the note was a believer, and also clarified his last name (OVD-Info does not report what the woman answered).
How the church employees realized that it was Navalny they were talking about is unclear (surnames are never written when ordering prayers in the church; the note the woman submitted only contained the politician’s name).
It is also unclear how the church found out who exactly ordered the magpie – the forms on which names are written for commemoration are not numbered and are submitted anonymously.
Soon, according to her, the woman received a call from the police and demanded to come to the department “for an explanation.” The Moscow police and the Russian Orthodox Church have not yet confirmed that such an episode actually took place.
