In Lithuania, on February 21, the government agreed to close two checkpoints on the border with Belarus – Raigardas and Lavorishkes. Delfi reported it.
Checkpoints will be closed from March 1 to pedestrians and vehicles.
Also, from spring, the movement of pedestrians and cyclists through the checkpoints in Medininkai and Šalcininkai will be limited.
In addition, the Lithuanian government agreed to gradually reduce the number of permits for the transportation of passengers by buses – for both Belarusian and Lithuanian carriers, and to limit the embarkation and disembarkation of passenger at Kena train station.
Let’s recall that last summer, Lithuania temporarily closed two border crossings with Belarus near the villages of Shumskas and Tverečius.
