The British organization Conflict Armament Research (CAR) studied 290 components of the debris of a North Korean ballistic missile found in Kharkov in January. This is stated in a report by Conflict Armament Research, CNN reported.
Experts found that 75% of the components were developed and sold by companies registered in the United States. At the same time, another 16% of the components found in the rocket were associated with companies registered in Europe. And another 9% were produced by companies registered in Asia. All these parts were part of the rocket’s navigation system and were manufactured between 2021 and 2023.
North Korea has created a robust procurement network capable of circumventing sanctions regimes that have been in place for almost two decades, CAR noted.
Experts did not disclose the names of the companies that found parts in the DPRK missiles. This is because there is no evidence of deliberate supplies of components to North Korea.
Let us remind you that on February 7, the Russian occupiers launched a missile attack on Kharkov. Hits were recorded in the Slobodsky district and damage to non-residential infrastructure. Two of the five missiles that the invaders aimed at the regional center were North Korean-made HVASON 11GA (KN-23).
