The enemy attacked most of all in the Maryinsky and Zaporozhye directions.

This was stated in the front-line construction of the General Staff on the morning of February 20.
In Ukraine, 81 military clashes took place on the fronts during the day. The Russian occupiers are trying to advance in the Kupyansky, Avdeevsky, Bakhmutsky, Maryinsky and Zaporozhye directions.
ISW experts suggest that the Russian occupiers will have to take an operational pause before resuming offensive operations in the Avdeevka direction or transfer reinforcements from other sectors of the front to prevent the culmination of operations near Avdeevka.
About the front from the military correspondent
Ukrainian war correspondent Bogdan Miroshnikov also wrote about the situation at the front.
Current directions:
AVDIEVSKY – the enemy continues attacks towards Nevelskoye, Lastochkino and Severny.
Bakhmutsky – there is an increase in the intensity of hostilities along the entire eastern flank.
From Andreevka to Bogdanovka there are very heavy battles.
The occupiers really want to break into Vremenny Yar in order to further threaten Konstantinovka, as well as to recapture Klishchievka and Andreevka. But these are the plans of the enemy. We have our own. And the seizure of Temporary Yar by the invaders is clearly not included in them.
For now, the enemy is reduced to our defense in frontal attacks on Ivanovskoye. The village is completely under our control.
KUPYANSKY – it’s traditionally hardest in Sinkovka, Kislovets, as well as in the direction of Berestovo-Tabaevka.
LIMANSKY – the enemy had tactical successes near Ternov.
ROBOTINSKY — followed the fifth day of attempts by the occupiers to carry out targeted assaults using armored vehicles. Meat assaults too.
Another reconnaissance in force with an attempt to break into the village itself ended in failure. The exchange fund has been replenished.
In other directions, no major changes.
Forecast of the 46th Brigade
The 46th OKMB wrote on February 20 that after the capture of Avdievka, the enemy will try to advance in several directions.
The first – Kupyansk – the enemy is actively “moving” the flanks of the self-propelled gun in the area of Sinkovka and Tabaevka.
The second – the Seversky offensive – in its configuration can at any moment take on the outlines of the defense of Avdievka.
The third is the attack on Vremya Yar.
The fourth is the continuation of the offensive in the Avdeevka direction.
Fifth – an offensive in the Kurakhovsky direction – reaching the flank and rear of the Ugledar group of self-propelled guns.
Points 2-5 are operations based on a single plan to realize the enemy’s political goal – the liberation of the fake DPR, the brigade writes in the Telegram.
Robotinsky ledge – the enemy is trying to eliminate the wedge in his battle formations before his possible counter-offensive in the Zaporozhye direction.
The bridgehead in Krynki will continue to be maintained after the retreat from Avdiivka. Now its information value has increased significantly.
As a reminder, the enemy’s Avdeevka operation also began with a small advance along the Verkhnetoretskoye-Novobakhmutovka directorate on the northern front of the Avdeevka defense back in April 2022. Then it would never have occurred to anyone that they would have to leave Avdeevka. The enemy has learned to accumulate reserves, concentrate them on the direction of the main attack and at the cost of high losses, but achieve their goals. Now, in the context of the transfer of strategic initiative to the enemy, we will move on to active defense.
