The Russian Children’s Ombudsman, Maria Lvova-Belova, in a meeting with the Qatari Ambassador to Russia, announced the return of the children to Ukraine.
On February 19, Russia reported that it had returned 11 children to Ukraine. The return of the children was announced by Russian Children’s Ombudsman Maria Lvova-Belova in a meeting with Qatar’s Ambassador to Russia Ahmed bin Nasser bin Jassim Al Thani, reports RosSMI.
The ambassador said that Qatar intends to continue to act as an intermediary in the return of children from Russia to Ukraine.
Let’s remember that in March last year, the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague issued an international arrest warrant for Maria Lvova-Belova.
As reported, according to the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, only 388 Ukrainian children out of the total number deported by the Russians were returned home; information about the deportation of 19.5 thousand children was verified.
