The Donetsk regional prosecutor’s office reported that it was investigating another war crime by the Russian invaders.
Ukrainian prosecutors have launched an investigation into the execution of Russian war criminals in Avdiivka and Vesely. This is reported by the Donetsk regional prosecutor’s office.
A pre-trial investigation is conducted in cases of violations of the laws and customs of war related to the planned killing.
Prosecutors noted that on Sunday, February 18, a message was published on one of the Telegram channels about the killing of six prisoners of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in one of the positions in Avdiivka. The defenders are seriously wounded and await evacuation.
A video recording with fragments of the killing of two more soldiers was also discovered near the village of Veseloye, Bakhmut district.
In particular, the recording from the drone camera shows how today, during the attack on our positions, a representative of the occupying forces shot at point-blank range, first at a captured Ukrainian Armed Forces serviceman, and then to another.
“Not wanting to leave the prisoners alive, the occupier deliberately finished them off with automatic weapons,” the prosecutor’s office stressed.
We previously reported that Russian interventionists committed another war crime: they shot two Ukrainian prisoners of war.
In addition, law enforcement officials began an investigation into the killing of unarmed Ukrainian prisoners of war by the invaders near the village of Klishchievka, Donetsk region.
