France will transfer its latest kamikaze drones to Ukraine in the coming weeks. This is what French Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu said in an interview with the Journal du Dimanche, published on Sunday, February 18.
France is developing kamikaze drones, and this development is now in the experimental phase, the official said.
“In the coming weeks, Ukraine will be one of the first to receive these drones. It also represents an opportunity for combat testing this new generation of equipment,” added the French minister.
The official also recalled that since the beginning of the entire invasion, France has trained 10 thousand Ukrainian fighters. He added that in 2024, another 7 to 9 thousand military personnel will undergo the exercises.
We previously wrote that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, after visiting Berlin and meeting with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, arrived in France.
Let’s add that during the preliminary talks between the Ukrainian and French presidents, the main topic was the creation of an Artillery Coalition.
