However, the breakout attempt was decisively stopped by units of the Ukrainian defense forces. The occupiers lost almost two dozen pieces of equipment, many of them were killed, and many were injured. The operational command “West” announced this on Facebook on February 18.
It is noted that the Russian command sent 30 units of equipment and a large number of personnel to the assault. The Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed 18 pieces of equipment, including three tanks. About 70 enemy soldiers were killed and 80 were wounded. After an attempted offensive, the Russians retreated to their previous positions.
Let us remind you that in the Orekhovskoe direction in the Zaporozhye region, the Russian command called for a group equal to the forces in the Avdeevka area. The Tavria OSUV stated that there is now relative calm there, but the Russians are preparing to move forward. The Armed Forces of Ukraine know about the plans of the occupiers.
