The air force clarified that on Sunday night Russian troops attacked the territory of Ukraine with six S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles, three Kh-22 cruise missiles and one Kh-59 guided aircraft missile. The enemy also released 14 Shahed-type attack drones.
It was noted that anti-aircraft missile units and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Defense Forces of Ukraine, and electronic warfare equipment were involved in repelling the air attack.
“As a result of the fighting, 12 suicide bombers and one X-59 guided missile were shot down within the regions of Chernigov, Sumy, Poltava, Kirovograd, and Dnepropetrovsk. Around 6:00, soldiers of the Vostok air command landed a another Russian aircraft – a Su-3 fighter-bomber in the Eastern direction,” the military emphasized.
