Biden said that even in prison, Navalny continued to tell the truth.
The Russian authorities will tell their story. But remember: the tracks are responsible for Navalny’s death,” Biden said.
Biden also added that now is the time for American politicians to make an important decision and continue to help Ukraine, which continues to confront Russia.
In the summer of 2021, Joe Biden met with Vladimir Putin. After which he told reporters:
I made it clear to him (Putin) that, in my opinion, the consequences could be devastating for Russia.
Then the discussion was about what would happen if Navalny died in prison.
In addition, Biden used reports of Navalny’s death to pressure Congress to approve support for Ukraine.
Biden said that the ways are not only attacking citizens of other countries, as is happening now in Ukraine, but also doing terrible things to their own people.
Biden said the US must provide the means to ensure Ukraine can continue to defend itself, and the lack of further funding for Ukraine at this critical moment will never be forgotten.
Since the mid-2000s, Navalny has been in opposition to Putin, spoke about the corruption of top Russian officials, tried to run for president, but finally ended up behind bars. He supported the Revolution of Dignity, but did not believe that occupied Crimea should be returned to Ukraine, because “Crimea is not a sausage sandwich.”
