Harris noted that there are no serious consequences for Russia, other authoritarian countries around the world “will be encouraged.”
Vice President Kamala Harris says the United States is giving Russian dictator Vladimir Putin a gift because Congress has failed for months to approve a new $60 billion aid fund for Ukraine. He said this at the Munich Security Conference, RBC-Ukraine reports.
According to him, if the United States turns its back on Ukraine and abandons its NATO allies, it will encourage not only Putin to “do more.”
“History reminds us that if we stand aside when an aggressor attacks a neighbor and goes unpunished, then he will continue. And in the case of Putin, the whole of Europe is under threat. If we do not show to Putin that the consequences will be significant, the whole world is under threat,” added the vice president.

Let’s recall that on February 13, the US Senate supported a package that provides more than $60 billion for Ukraine, mainly for military aid. But the Senate’s decision to appropriate the money is not enough – the bill must be passed by the House of Representatives.
On February 15, Speaker of the House of Representatives Mike Johnson ended the House week early and declared a nearly two-week recess without considering the Allied Relief Bill.
US President Joe Biden spoke clearly about the two-week break that congressmen took without considering a bill to help Ukraine.
