Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmigal announced this today, February 15, in his Telegram channel with reference to the result of the third loss and needs assessment (RDNA3), which “the government conducted jointly with the World Bank.
Over the past year, restoration needs have continued to grow. Especially in the housing sector, where due to enemy actions, 10% of the total housing stock has been destroyed or damaged, in the agricultural and environmental spheres,” Szmigal emphasized.
The total economic, social and other losses of Ukraine, the prime minister notes, as of the end of 2023 amount to almost $499 billion.
Thanks to RDNA3, we have an up-to-date, in-depth analysis of losses and needs. This allows us to correctly determine priorities, rationally distribute resources and obtain the expected results,” Szmigal noted, thanking everyone involved in this research.
