Everywhere is full of dead Russians, body parts, machine parts, this is how Pleitgen described his last trip to the front.
Among other things, Pleitgen became acquainted with a Ukrainian unit of drone operators who were attacking Russian positions.
They could see everything, literally looked you in the face [російських] soldiers who knew that for them, apparently, everything would end soon. What struck me most was how many corpses lay around. Everywhere is full of dead Russians, body parts, machine parts. Nothing is being removed,” the journalist said.
He was shocked by the number of casualties on the Russian side at the front.
We talk a lot about the fact that Ukraine is suffering, and this, of course, is true. But how many of his people Putin sends to their deaths – I couldn’t even think that everything would be as bad as it is now. This is one of the reasons why the Ukrainians still have fighting spirit, because they understand that they are actually stopping a lot of them,” Pleitgen shares.
According to an American reporter, the Ukrainian military will be able to survive even without an aid package from the United States.
They will rely on a new strategy, these small drones. The Ukrainians are now developing a long-range air force consisting of drones to attack supply routes, Pleitgen said.
